Send a Package

If you feel like sending me a package, thanks – you’re awesome! Here’s the best way to make sure it reaches me:

  1. Keep in mind that anything you send, I will have to carry until I’ve finished eating/using it, so please, nothing too heavy.
  2. At least a week before I am due to arrive at the town where you intend to mail the package, tell me that you plan to send (or have sent) a package so I know to stop in that town and visit the post office! Either post a comment on this blog or email me at lalaviol@gmail.com.
  3. To find a post office near me, use the table at this link. Compare the distance of the post office from Springer Mountain (2nd column table) to my current distance along the AT using the “Total Distance” column in the table in the “Where Am I?” page of this blog. Plan for the package to arrive several days before you expect me to reach that destination.
  4. Directions for how to address the label can be found here. In general, the package label should look like this:

LUCAS LAVIOLET
C/O GENERAL DELIVERY
CITY, STATE ZIP CODE
